Hey guys,

Sorry if that question has been asked in the past - i'm new.

I own a bongo 5 HH 2008 Limited Edition coming with the sequoia gold finish, gold hardware, etc. That was back in 2008, and yet I still love it as much as I did when I bought it.

I was curious about something: when I bought it was kinda doubting it would be rare, but never really made a follow-by after.

The exact same bongo but 2007 LE was at a dealer close to my place. Then to get the 2008 we had to go to quebec city (2h of driving) There was one, I bought it.

Well so far, i haven't met anyone with that exact same bass since I boubht it and I've seen lots of players and basses. So I guess there aren't manyround

I've heard there would be 20 of them but I don't know if that 20 is for the Bongo 5 HH only, or if it includes the bongo 4, ,5 and that were built with the sequoia gold finish.

Is there a way to have this informations? Or some of you know?

They are a dime a dozen. If I were you, I would sell it to me - cheap ;-)

Seriously, there is a 2008 LE Bongo 4HH for sale in Toronto (search Kijiji) with an asking price of $1600 Cdn. That is appoximately $1200 for our US friends.

When I contacted them looking for productions numbers on the Orange Firemist, I hit a brick wall. Kind of stinks, but that's their prerogative.

Honestly, the rosewood is a little darker overall, but the playability is the difference maker to me. The feel of the rosewood is something to be desired, more then the tonal differences. And to me, its more about the compliments I get when people walk up and are checking the bass out. Everyone seems blown away by an all rosewood neck. I live in a town of about 60,000 people, so cool guitars are hard to come by!
