Welcome to Day 2 of my annual New Year's New Guitar Days (NYNGD)!
(OK, it's still the same day as Day 1, but let's pretend I started this 9 days earlier and I'm able to fit one per day and still make New Years Eve deadline).
Hi all! Thanks for the kind words and comments on NYNGD #2022-1!
If you're not familiar or didn't see NYNGD #2022-1, here's what this is all about: Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day as we ring in 2022! Unfortunately, I'm getting a late start this year -- I should have started on December 13th in order to launch one guitar per day until the grand finale on New Year's Eve! SLACKER! But better late than never! I'm going to need to double-up -- two per day... got my work cut out for me! Standard caveat: In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. My answer is here!
Alright... shut the heck up Jeff and let's get going with the next guitar!
Today's guitar is a stunning one-off "Connoisseur Cut" Luke III Koa Island Burst that I just purchased in the end-of-year sale on the EBMM Vault. You might think, "I've seen the Koa Island Burst LII's before." However, the standard (now discontinued) Luke III BFR Koa Island Burst had a roasted maple neck, rosewood fretboard, black pickups, and a Island Burst headstock. What sets this one apart is the rosewood neck with ebony fretboard, gold pickups, and the natural rosewood headstock with stunning engraved logos instead of decals.
She feels and sounds great, but it literally just arrived yesterday so I haven't got much playing time in. That also explains the photos with the white background instead of my customary black -- these are EBMM factory photos.
Man, if this stunning guitar is only #2 of 19, can you imagine was awesome stuff we have in store for the next 17 guitars?!? I'll be back tomorrow with another NYNGD: New Year's New Guitar Day!
Thanks for looking everyone!

The new EBMM message board limits the number of characters in a post so I can't put a list of direct links in the post. Click here for an index.
(The back story in case you're new to my NYNGD: For the past couple of years I've done a fun thing that most of you I think enjoyed, and I thought I would do it again this year. Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day leading up to New Years Eve! In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars.
The same question came up during my NYNGD posts a few years ago and my answer was pretty detailed and well thought-out, so please check it out here!)
(Also, in case anybody gets any funny ideas -- these guitars are not at my house. They are all in my very secure and alarmed studio facility. I usually only have two guitars floating around the house...)
