I just came to the startling realization that, for the first time since 1987, I am Ampeg free!

Aside from a tiny little 20 watt Behringer amp I keep next to my computer for impromptu practice, I have only MarkBass amps.

GADS!

I love my SVT's sound but I really hate the weight, only used for clubs and halls. I have a B1RE that I run though a Workingman 2X10 cabinet for hauling to practice and small jams, much easier. Not ready to make the switch to anything else, yet.

I am completely enamored of the MarkBass gear!! :D

I have a rehearsal tonight and I plan to give the MarkBass LMII a good run......

Gonna take my DuBaldo Sterling, A Steiny, and my 8-string!

And play through my old Ampeg 4 X 10" cab for the last time.

Then it's sold to another local bass player.

Coming soon, MarkBass Traveler 151P.....

Then I'll have a Little stack!

NICE!

I've never really been a big fan of the Ampeg sound. I had a little 15" combo amp about 25 years ago that was nice, but uninspired. Now I use Ashdown. I like GK as well. I've heard good things about Mark Bass, but never got to try one. My GC just got some in, so I should make a run and plug in one of these days. This way I can get to play with their Bongos while I'm waiting for mine to come :).

i had an SWR workingman 4004 head or whatever it was called. it sucked...

I'm not ampge free as I have a 50 watt combo for home practice that has servred me well for over 10 years. i think its the rocket b50r model. its just fine for the house actually.

i had an svt classic head that i did not like at all tho. off'ed it and got a gk 100rb which was great and now have a Little Mark 2 which is my main head right now

The Ampeg I'm selling at the moment is a 100 watt 2x8 combo (SVT-100T) from the 1990's that I was using for practice around the house, but now I just leave one of my 2x10 cabs in a corner of the family room and bring the Markbass LMII out of the cupboard when I want to practice at home.
