I've learnt that, when the wife is away, you can pretty much do whatever you want, and buy whatever you want, if the house is clean when she gets home. Pretty good deal if you ask me!

Have fun this week Rik.

Hope the wife has a great time on the cruise! :)

No, she's really in CT somewhere. New Hartford? I don't know, she's working, I don't ask too many questions.

Got the tracking - thanks!

Hey Ritchie, I went on that same boat a couple months ago. She's gonna have a blast......you really should have gone too! But I guess this way you can sneak more gear into the house without her knowing:D Good luck holding the fort down:)

Too bad New Hartford is almost an hour from here, otherwise I would offer Nick treating her to a gourmet meal @ casa d'Ubaldo :D

Dear Big Poppa,

I think my wife is cheating on me. I am a working musician and, as you would expect, travel a lot. I have been noticing strange things happening when I get home. Her mobile phone rings and she steps outside to answer it or she says, "I'll call you back later". When I ask her who called she gets evasive.

Sometimes she goes out with friends but comes home late, getting dropped off around the corner and walking the rest of the way. I once picked up the extension while she was on the phone and she got very angry.

A buddy of mine plays bass in a band. He told me that my wife and some guy have been to his gigs. He wanted to borrow my amp. That's when I got the idea to find out for myself what was really happening.

I said "Sure, you can use my amp but I want to hide behind it at the gig and see if she comes into the venue and who she comes in with". He agreed.

Saturday night came and I slipped behind my Ampeg SVT2 Pro and 810 Cab to get a good view. I could feel the heat coming off the back of the amp.

It was at that moment, crouching down behind the amp, that I noticed that one of the tubes was not glowing as bright as the others.

Is this something I can fix myself or do I need to take it to a technician?

:D :D :D

That has got to be the best laugh I've had all week! 10/10

Ritchie - Boredom won't cut it. Plug 'em in and turn it up!

I've got a similar situation coming-up in three weeks (house to myself for a month).

That many basses and bored? That not right.
Clean and tune them. That alone will take up several hours.:D

Cheer up Ritchie, its just a few days.

Right now I'm sitting in a hotel several hours from home with no instruments.

All clean, all tuned. I keep mine like museum pieces. Much to the frustration of others.

Sorry to hear you are bass-less. :(
