Hey guys and girls, I posted a brief thread about this once but pulled it because I didn’t want to be a downer with my own personal problems, this is a fun place after all. But it’s a big deal to me and you guys are my friends, so here’s what’s going on.

My Mom has pancreatic cancer, at first we were told there was nothing that could be done and she had 6 to 9 months to live. New scans were taken and a team at Wake Forrest Medical Center think the can remove most of the tumor and thru treatment can give her a few more years of life. She has decided to try this surgery and they are going to do it Monday the 27th. I’d appreciate any good thoughts and vibes you could send my mom that day.

My CAR Bongo 5 is supposed to arrive that day, but I may have to go pick her up at the terminal, an EBMM bass can sure put a smile on your face no matter what else is going on, even if only a couple of minutes.

On the bright side, I’m love’n me some Bongo 4

I’ll be back…

Thoughts and prayers are with your Mom, you and your family and the excellent doctors that will be taking care of her.

Hope she pulls through OK! With a son like you to back her up, she'll be fine...assuming you don't get the last page of the EBMM calendar near her....:p

I keed, I keed! Here's to a fast and safe recovery for Chuck's mom!

Hey guys, thanks, it's good to know there are some people that care about people these days. Mom is in great spirits considering how she thought she was dead two weeks a go. She has a 60/40 chance to live a few more years with a very risky surgery done by a doctor that is a trail blazer in the field. She has lived with me for the last month and after what they expect to be a seven to ten day stay at the hospital, she will recover here at Casa Psycho for however long it takes.

Positive vibes on Monday the 27th, you have my thanks and I hope to have good news.

Everybody here is great and have made sure I can go to the local jams, tonight I'm going to play my Bongo for the first time at "The Clubhouse" in GSO.... so close I can walk home and I just might should....

Chuck,

Sorry to hear about this, but I'll definitely emit some positive vibes toward your Mom on the 27th (which happens to be the day after my birthday).

Its a beautiful thing music... those who don't play don't understand how theraputic it can be..........

How true! After a stressful day at work, I come home and set up in the studio with my bass and my cd's for a couple of hours...then I come here for a few laughs and to trade thoughts and ideas with my fellow musicians.
