Thanks guys!

I feel a lot better today and I'm not coughing so I'm going to the hospital, no hugs or kisses, and I'll stay back. Today Beth is down with this crud and she was around Mom all day yesterday.

Of course with Beth being sick at home today, she can sign for that big red Bongo! That Red Bongo will give me at least one positive thing to go on thru this serious day.

You guys are great friends, that's a positive too.

Thanks.

Hey guys and girls, I posted a brief thread about this once but pulled it because I didn’t want to be a downer with my own personal problems, this is a fun place after all. But it’s a big deal to me and you guys are my friends, so here’s what’s going on.

My Mom has pancreatic cancer, at first we were told there was nothing that could be done and she had 6 to 9 months to live. New scans were taken and a team at Wake Forrest Medical Center think the can remove most of the tumor and thru treatment can give her a few more years of life. She has decided to try this surgery and they are going to do it Monday the 27th. I’d appreciate any good thoughts and vibes you could send my mom that day.

My CAR Bongo 5 is supposed to arrive that day, but I may have to go pick her up at the terminal, an EBMM bass can sure put a smile on your face no matter what else is going on, even if only a couple of minutes.

On the bright side, I’m love’n me some Bongo 4

I’ll be back…

My Prayers and Thoughts are with you and your family, I wish you and your family well.DJ

Thanks for all of the positive vibes and prayers, it really means a lot to me and my Mom.

But, once they got in, it was too bad and there was nothing they could do. They did some plumbing work and tried to deaden some of the nerves in the area to help the pain. They want her to try some radiation, but we're back to the comfort approach from here on out.

She remains in great spirits and said to tell my "computer friends" thanks.

You guys and girls are the coolest people I've ever known.

Chuck, I'm truly sorry to hear this. I went through a similar ordeal with my dad (Leukemia), and it's tough-as-hell to watch your parents go through it.

You almost wish it was you instead of them.

Stay strong, Chuck. I know what kind of heart you've got just from riding in the van with you from the show that night in SLO. It'd be my pleasure to do anything I can for you.

Be a "rock," Chuck. When my father-in-law died, his brother told me that I was like a rock by just being strong & solid for the rest of the family. I never forgot that.

Take care, and my best wishes are once again floating up to you & your family.

Chuck,

Just lost for words. My heart sank reading your latest post. Let me know if you need anything, even if it is just an ear or a shoulder.
