How do!

Got my 1st real challenge tomorrow night.... cue anxious gig nerves!

We're supporting a signed band (Get Amp3d), but we're on after them as it's our home town gig.

Firstly, i've got all the usual gig routines out of the way.. bongo is restrung, freeboard conditioned etc etc. But the what makes this so different as before is that all other bands we've played on the same bill as us have always been relatively young and inexperienced thus not really going to upstage us in anyway. Not that we worry about that but I feel comfortably knowing that people have turned out to see US.

here's the killer... get amp3d bass player is EBMM endorsed i think?! plays a stingray and looks like he might be quite the player!! eeeek! :eek:

I want to embrace him as a brother but he may be intimidated by barbarella's dammed awesome looks and voluptuous grooves... what if he does his best to upstage me! how do you hold out an olive branch of bass love????

babbling over :D:eek::D

I guess you'll meet at the sound check. Go over take a glance at his bass and tell him that you love the MusicMan sound. IMO, if he's just a tiny bit okay and not totally stressed out, he'll enjoy a bit of bass talk.

Go for it!

i guess i never thought of that, if this guy is endorsed then he might be an even bigger EBMM nut than me!

ok ok.... who's got 5 quid (or bucks) on me posting after the gig with my GAS for a stingray and his GAS for a bongo.. oh YEAH!!!

I swear, Chuck looks happier in hell, than he did in China :p

lowdown, be yourself, lay down your groove, and everything else takes a back seat. Have fun!
