I looked at those pics.

At first glance , the final pic of the back of the body could be the truest color.
See the variance? Doesn't mean my glance is correct though.

Sunbursts can be tricky to get a good pic of the finish.
Lighting , film, scanners..these can play havoc with true color representation.

Something about the reds in 3 color sunbursts. Many times, the red band photos seem larger and or more colorful. That is likely a film issue in traditional cameras.

The front could be faded too. See.. there are different possibilities. I have seen all of these 'variables' on photos of sunbursts.

I would ask the seller which picture is most accurate. Sometimes, they even have extra pics they can send. Ask if the front is faded.

I've noticed with some Sunbursts that edging is not black but infact a very dark chocolate brown when held to the light.

On this Bass, it's very noticable. Perhaps the paint mix on the day it was done?
