Sterling Haiku? You mean the guy?

Biff said 'Build Bongos'

Internet wankers scoffing

Dave LaRue said yes.

There once was a man named Sterling
A master at martini curling
Build a bass with positions three
And name it in honor of me.
That should set their propellers a-twirling

And so it was said, in between hiccups
Make me a sterling, but give it two pickups
Make them both humbuckers
That oughta show them f#ckers
And cause quite a few Guitar Center stickups

You may play jazz with great precision.

You may stand upright in the doghouse and pick your grass blue, it’s your decision.

Or play real loud and shake a wal.

But give me my Sterling; it can do it all….

OK, I’ve only had one beer; I’ll come back after five and try this again.

OK, so it’s been a few beers later and this came to me…. But please remember I don’t “get” poetry….

There is a man from San Luis Obispo,
Who is old enough to remember disco,
His shirts are loud and his pants are short,
But he made a bass that can sing,
He named it after himself, it’s called Sterling.

Now to drink a few more beers...
