Well gentlemen and ladies......

I shall be going off the radar for a little while.

Some of you may remember I got a new job as the deputy editor of a series of magazines last year.
Part of my job is cigars (we have a UK version of Cigar Afficionado) Am going on a week and a bit training course in Habanos (those lovely Cuban cigars) - in Havana!!!

Leave tomorrow for Havana and first up is dinner with Castro.

As a Hemmingway fan this is gonna be so cool.

Will report back on those huge American cars when I get back.:)

Make sure you mention to Fidel that Australia are going to kick the arse of their baseball team in a couple of weeks at the World Baseball Classic, in revenge for the last Olympic Games final.

I will certainly add that to my list of questions and discussion points Mark no worries.....:) Will make a nice light humour question after asking whats going to happen to the country after he dies.......

Now I'm officially jealous.

I was envious when I heard what your new job was but I would just love to go to Cuba. We require a full report with pics when you return.

Certainly will.

As for posting stogies to the States - well we all know about that little embargo (i dont want to get political) but Customs will have them to smoke. All I can say is when ever you guys are over make sure to look me up and we can hook up with some whisky and smokes no problems..

Ah yes the Fuente Opus X what a cracker that is!! Lovely smoke. I have recently been getting in to the Davidoff range - No2 and No3 Millennium blend. Worth a go if you can get them.

July eh.....well drop me a pm near the time and we will see if we can hook up.:)

Oh on the embargo I heard a little rumour in the industry that the biggest collection of pre embargo Cuban smokes is located in the bowels of the White House - thanks to a certain Kennedy family member.
(please no jokes about Monica!!)

You nailed two cigars that are currently in my humidor.
OpusX only on a full stomach - real strong, makes me dizzy
Davidoff Millenniums are fantastic . . readily available in
NJ but expensive $15-25 a pop.

Have not tried CAO yet . . . but I will.

It's still very cold here and absolutely no smoking indoors
so I picked up a box of Short Stories. Nice quick smoke,
can't stay outside much longer than that.

Same here - but probably not as cold as NJ....

Try the CAO Blacks or Brasils......they are on the strong side, so after dinner is best.

I have a couple of Punch Coronas and a Bolivar No2 (my favorites) to kick my trip off at the hotel tonight (and a bottle of Dalmore Cigar Malt) so should manage to sleep on the plane and avoid jetlag....:D

Hey BP anyone I should look up while I am there?
