Ron DeMarino in Copiague worked on my stuff in New York that I couldn't handle..and Joe Despagni did my finishes before I left for L.A...A little history..Ron repaired & refinished John Lennon's 1954 Les paul...and several other famous guitars of John's in the early 70's..He's the man to go too.Look up Ron's resume on the net...His shop was the first place i caught a glimpse of the wonder known as the Stingray bass..back in 1985..sunburst with rosewood fb..with that honkin humbucker. And most people know Joe as a guitar builder for Vai..I know first & foremost as a furniture restorer .

Peace,

I think the best way to repair this guitar would be to first replace the body and then replace the neck!!! :)

That's about there...But what I would do is..Get a EBMM guitar..take the neck & use it to replace the neck on the Gibson..then take the EBMM body..and replace the Gibson body with it..Then take all the Gibson parts ..high on a Mountain...and use it for a burnt offering..So it can once again.."Sing with Jesus"...and you can come down off the mountain with the good news of EBMM guitars..and it was good..AMEN ...Now go tell it on the mountain

Ok Spicolli!

I cannot understand why the bidding is as high as it is! That's insane!

Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays. Now you prepare that Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads. And I'm gonna need about ten quarts of anti-freeze, preferably Prestone. No, no make that Quaker State.:D

I am guessing you have not heard of the huge fetzer valve recall. A severe blow to the industry.
