Was just looking through the Official Ball Family Reserve Picture Thread and the colours on the recent guitars are really 'popping'. Looks great!

Has something changed?

I do not mean to say they didn't look great before ;-) cos they do/did...just curious.

Apparently the recession cheapened the price of high-quality wood, so EBMM jumped on the situation and bought as much highly-figured wood as they could get their hands on.

it's true, plus I believe it's a newer photographer as well
