i'm loooooving the middle and neck pickups solo'd. passive is nice but for that extra kick i flip on active and bump a bit of low end and maybe a touch of highs. grrrrrrrrrrreat!

That pickguard is phenomenal. It goes great with the white finish and maple board.

maple fingerboard was more of an aesthetic choice than anything else... wanted to complete that 'orange bang' look

I kind of decided that the Albert Lee guitar is a maple only thing, so I would stick with the look on the bass as well. Plus I'd never really owned a maple board bass before, so I figured now was the time.

Big Al has a skinny Sterling type neck (1.5" at the nut)
