I want one of these so bad that I put my Rosewood neck JP in the for sale thread. Can't afford to have them all and the Dargie is too good to pass up.

I think you made the right decision. I know I gave my reasons in one of these threads, and I remember you saying that you hadn't looked at it that way. I don't think you'll regret this at all, maybe some initial doubt after the rosewood is gone but again, it will all be forgotten when you open that DD II case for the first time.

Buy the way lefty I can't recall, have you played a left handed JP BFR yet?

Here, this should remind you of why you are making the correct choice:D

 Selling the Rosewood for a DD2!

I know, it's a hard decision, but to have have the ebony with dargie in a BFR is too good to pass up.

It's all good, man. Kinda wish you were a righty. I'd pick up that rosewood from you...

Careful. You might play the BFR and decide to sell your MD also...

That is insane!!!!

Yeah, that's got to be a function of the lighting more than the guitar, right? I mean color shifting is one thing, but have we seen any other shot of footage where it looks like that? It would be amazing if it really looked like that. Maybe we'll get some more pics after NAMM.

So it appears light at the blue end of the spectrum brings out the green, while the red end of the spectrum enhances the gold. Hmm, I wonder if my wife will approve of a full lighting rig installation in the living room.

Except the GR has the option of a natty headstock, as did the Dargie's last time.

Rob, yah my Dargie Luke was natty HS, but the GR web page reads as follows:

"Description:
Inspired by Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones, this custom Silhouette guitar features two classic DiMarzio "Mini" humbuckers with gold covers, gold hardware, and metallic gold finish. Other features include hardtail bridge, 24-fret maple neck with wide position markers and metallic gold matching headstock.
"

That's the reason I asked the question. I was hoping it could be gotten with a natty HS, but it is what it is.

It alaso says in the specs that the matching headstock is optional.

Neck Colors:
Standard - Natural; Optional - Matching painted headstock

That's a mistake..GR only comes with matching. It's priced into the package.

Scott, see thanx man, that's what I thought. Thanx for straightening that out. :)

By the way, awesome choice of paint!!! Color shifting just excellent. You'll do well. :D
