Sometimes I woder why do I bother with so many switches and pickups, EQ...etc., ...instead to get one of those Classic 5 string Rays...and just play the bass?

+100 I've never played to that many people if I added up everyone I've ever played for in my life. awesome.

Yeah, that was a nice crowd, but that was a major festival in Cologne and the people would have been there for any other band as well. We had to find out the hard way that we're not a club band that draws folks on it's own merits - the last time we played a club we played in front of 15 people. Barely more than we are ;-)
So having the oportunity to play in front of so many people is very special to us, too.

We played a Toys for Tots benefit gig this past Saturday night. I decided to play the Big Al 5 and it sounded f'n awesome through the house PA.
