Its not an Ernie Ball on this pic, but actually a verry fine instrument, built by Harry Haeussel, well known for his Pickups. In the 1980's and -90's he made some real fine bass guitars. Here I play the one he made for me.

The last one -believe it or not- is "father and son".

There are more to follow.

Ciao

Hey Kong,

great to see another father & son making a music, ...welcome to the forum! :)

P.S. ...I like Your country a lot, ..I've been working (playing) in Baden-Wurttemberg region in 1993. (Reutlingen and Dettingen a/E), great people, great country and a first class beer and car industry! ;)

Play well!

I'm out with Wallace Coleman for the next couple of months, primarily on piano, but I get to do some bass playing. Here we are doing the Blue Plate Special radio show in Knoxville TN. Bass of choice for the blues? The Stealth Bongo 4H of course!

Hey Psycho Ward,

did those ceramic plates behind You still in one piece each, ...I mean after huge SPL (sound pressure level) that Bong can deliver, I'm little bit worried? :D

Nope. Not the Douglas.

You're a big guy! You make that bass look like a 3/4 size guitar!

Yes, thank You! I take care of the Highland Games in my aerea every year.

I am 6'4''. My nickname is "Kong". Now You know, why. :D

Some people asked by looking at my pics if Ernie Ball has some 32'' - Basses in their new production run... :D

My hometown is at the B 30, 40 km south of Ulm. It's called Biberach. Maybe You have heard something of it. Reutlingen is about 96 km from Reutlingen, you go Münsingen, Urach, Ehingen..... If you remember.

My favourite bar started to make its own beer a year ago. They are able to produce a fine beer for a reasonable price. But only limited runs. :D

Kindest regards from one of the most beautiful aerias on this earth.

Cheers

P.S. Please tell me the name of he band You used to play with. Maybe I know it.

It was Croatian band, ...we were playing in one Discotheque owned by Croatian fellow ("DisCROtheque Miracle"), I don't know if it still exist? ...set list was that way too, ...so I'm pretty sure You've probably never heard about that band (name of the band was "Big Star").

Btw., ...I remember Autobahn exit signs for Biberach!

Cheers!

Here's a blurry shot from a Christmas gig this past December:
