Ouch and I sure wish you the best in your recovery.

My first thought.....if this had happened to me....was to go lefty. It's easier to adapt picking than fingering. More excuses to buy more balls, right?

(I just taught my son how to mow the lawn.....we did it this morning.....I won't be teaching him the trick of keeping the mower going by taping the handle, after hearing this story)

I see a thread but I don't see pics. Seriously though, has anyone seen that news story about the guy who lost part of his finger but it grew back? It was pretty dang amazing. We prayed for Rob's son for months on end. Now we can pray that you recover okay if you want.

Very sorry to hear this, I've lost half a thumb on my right hand to my motorbike chain. I has taken me 8 months to be able to play again but you do learn to adapt, although if you play your guitar right handed your injury might be a bit more impeding than mine I can't hold a pick that well anymore or pluck guitar strings with the thumb, but I am learning to slap again with whatever I have left, good luck in your recovery.

and a fine set of DVD's they are too - I have them all.

Then I look forward to it even more. He is an absolute gem of a country picker...just awesome. I don't think he's particularly well known is he ? I'd love to know a bit more about him.

Some may have seen this before but it puts a smile on my face each time I watch it. Somebody put an AL in his hands please with a B bender :D

Hey Guys...I got a new Ball

Well some did ask for pics...:D)

Just got back from being fixed up by the Surgeon. He wasn't too hopeful this morning, after studying the X Rays, of saving the end of the finger as the amputated bone was in fragments, but he has managed to piece some bits together somehow and wired through them into the good bone. Hopefully this will do the trick, but we won't really know for a few weeks.

But nevertheless......I came home with a new Ball,..in Morse Blue. Not quite what I had in mind for my next purchase but the saucy nurse had other suggestions which might keep my Wife satisfied particularly taking into account which finger it is on.... :D So it's now a waiting game, can't drive for at least a couple of weeks and have to keep it meticulously clean, as the risk of infection is very high so no construction site visits. I have to hand it to these surgeons, they are amazing what they do.

Be careful out there !!

Kev's new Ball ;)
