I hope you don't think I was being a smart-aleck before. The EBMM reps actually can help you faster if you call, and in the past they've asked people to call first for precisely this reason. I just wanted to pass that along so that you can get your bass issue resolved quicker.

Okay, I phoned Guitar Center and they told me to take it in on Wednesday, with any luck they'll be able to take care of this for me.

Alright, so Guitar Center is shipping my bass off to I guess Jon in California unless there's a closer authorized warranty guy somewhere. Thanks again for all your help.

Glad to hear it worked out. Rest assured that if its going back to EBMM its going to return better than ever. Just hope than Jon puts a setup on it. I havent had a setup from him, but the rumors are that he puts a killer setup on some instruments.

By any chance have u tried ur bass through another amp, maybe its the amp, a fuse blown or anything, try a different lead aswell, could always be a dodgy lead.

I've both tried another amp and tried other guitars in those amps, the tech at GC concluded that the preamp was fried
