Not sure where I should have posted this so sorry in retrospect but I thought it was worth a mention being ED Van Halen related!

So many inconsistencies and questions

1. How can Eddie have rewound the Gibson humbucker if it was made for Eddie and he rejected it?

2. How can he have owned it if it was given to a Kramer employee after he rejected it?

3. Why has it got the usual Frankenstrat chiseled pickup routings when all the Kramers were single humbuckers?

4. Did Eddie have Kramer make Frankenstrat replicas based on his original Charvel right down to the reflectors on the back? I thought Kramers made 5150s for Eddie, not Charvel bodied Frankenstrats.

5. He says it was broken on the headstock and repaired yet only Eddies OWN Kramer had that honour? According to his story, this guitar never made it into Eddies hands, then did, then didn't, then did!!!

6. Nobody in there right mind would stripe the headstock blue for Eddie, would they?!

Seems way too far fetched and inconsistent if you ask me...

Someone is about to lose $20,000 and get a free "Gullible" tattoo thrown in to the deal.

Eddie Did actually have Kramer build him many frnakie replicas with kramer necks on! The most famous one being the Kramer Frankie Advert Guitar you can see Ed holding in many famous Kramer Adverts/posters! I suppose they made a load of these to test different variations and to see if they could get one just right for Ed! The storey is plausible but more info is needed! www.vintagekramer.com is a great website for all things Kramer and has 1000sof photos of Ed with all his guitars and great photos of him in the Kramer Neptune factory constructing his own hybrids!!!!

The more I look at that auction th emore disbelief I have. He says that there was a break in the headstock, yet all the tuners are squint. The nut is held on with two completely different bolts, the high E saddle is a different colour from the rest, the wiring is a mess, the scratchplate looks like someone put it across there knee and snapped it... Just a mess.

I really find it hard to believe that any professional guitar company ever saw that guitar!!!

 ......Just because Eddie owned/played it does not make it worth that kind of money. This is getting ridiculous. I mean, really 20k?!?!?!

Even if Ed did own it, it ain't worth $20,000, I wouldn't even pay $5,000 for it.

What's worse is that he originally set up the auction for $35,000!!! Then it got shut down by Ebay. Now, he's back. Anyone buys that thing they should take a bat to the scrotum.
