I think the more appropriate question would be, "Who buys an HH bongo and then removes the neck H, because it interferes with his slapping, and then slaps an ugly ass pickguard on it?"

Well, no. The pickup is too close to the bridge and the pg is nothing like anything MM has to offer.

I suppose you could use the hole to store quarters for the jukebox, or something.

Maybe the changes gave this guy something he was looking for...but IMHO it's just....ew. Ick. "Customized wonder" indeed.

OTOH, if he were to include the old pickup, original preamp and original PG, it could prove to be a hell of a steal for someone prepared to reinstall the original equipment.
