Raz my man, you need to truck yourself down my way sometime. Heck, I'd even close the store for your privacy, or open on a Sunday for you - And you would be able to crank the Soldanos as loud as you want. :) I've got about 4 SUB 1s and (in 2 weeks) 7-8 Petrucci models - all at EB factory specs for action. The thing is, they are ALL calling your name and begging for you to take them home - especially the SUBs! - I do have a nice Benji Madden model here in Textured black w/ black pickguard  This thing sounds pretty /v\etal !!!

He sold the kids soul not his own - that makes it OK ;)

Jon, can you email me? I gots some questions for you and I want to hear how your car has been treating you! [email protected]

Email sent

Well I still haven't decided fully on the Pet...but I do know i won't go back there, lugging my gear expecting a trade...

I think I'll take Pete up on his offer...you know Pete I felt a touch of illness while in there, I felt that I was doing someone wrong...the only reason I went was because of the trade...plus it gave me a chance to try out the Pet.
"So Paolo where did you go on vacation?"
"Well a guitar store of course" :D

Did somebody say Soldano's? We don't have a Soldano to be found in my part of the world and I really miss the one I had. I need to find someone who will trade for a MK IV....

Guess I have to drive 600 miles to go to a music store.

You could do the drive, or contact these guys - they are located in Deleware, OH. and have Soldano amps

Just email me ahead of time :D I took the next 2 weeks off from my other job to make sure all the deliveries go smoothly at the music store, and to (hopefully) finish restoring my '68 Barracuda.

Man I don't know what these music guys do there all day, no offense to those that work at one but if I worked there I would try and at least set up the higher end guitars to within a reasonable playable action, not freakin 3/8" off the frets....I couldn't tell if I liked the JP, I couldn't play it... and to top it all off, there was a SWEET Axis, with the most beautiful flamed birdseye EVER and you'll never guess what...1/2" action...no I'm serious, it was like those old acoustics you find in the dump...
Dontcha love Long & McQuade? I especially like how they tell you that you'll get 80% of their selling price for your trade-ins, but what they don't tell you is that they sell used guitars for about 50% of what they're actually worth... they offered me $600 trade in on a PRS CE a few years back... add the fact that most of their staff come across like clueless used car salesmen and I don't darken their door all that often...

I guess I should have consulted you first...if you do happen to go there again, please check the action on that Axis, you'll probably drop the damn thing and run...
I had no idea really, man I have a lot to learn...I'm just a punk kid :o

BBQ? Beer?

It's time for an EBMM forum party!!! Let's do it!
Everyone bring the axe for the monster jam.
It'll be like the band Spirit times 10!!!

We have talked about a Forum convention before to held in Las Vegas. Guys/Gals/Guitars/Casinos/Jams/ would be the ultimate get together. Since I got my new position at work....desk job, no more out of town work.....I would so be there.

Back on subject. Well Raz, hate to see for one, the guitars in terrible shape. They should beat those cats with those Korean made F**der heaps. Next, the Pet is not for everyone and you kinda found out. But, you need to find one that is not set up by a butcher.

I agree with NorM. Do not trade in your Silo. Something tells me you should keep it. I am waiting for the new Morse and if I don't like it, I am going for a Silo next. Patience is with me on this one.

The best part of this thread. You turned on a kid to EBMM. You saved his guitar playing life. Simple as that. I think you should get free (put product name here) from EBMM...hehehehe.......

Yah, perhaps that was my calling for the day, my little contribution...dang seeing that Pet and that Axis set up so poorly really, really pissed me off...but the irony was, all the Sub 1's were set up, to what appeared to be factory set up. The only thing I could say is that the Subs must have just came in and the Axis and Pet are hand me downs from other stores...When I was TRYING to play the pet the salesman said,

"That one's a popular one, everybody had their hands on it...I'm surprised its in that good of shape" maybe that should tell you something bro
