Well, after finding out that my bass was set up by Jon (the Man) last Thursday, I was hopeful that I'd have it in time for my gig this weekend. I called Adam at GC, and he said that he talked to EB/MM and was told that it shipped that same Thursday, but he didn't get a tracking number. Wednesday comes, and no bass. Thursday comes, and no bass. So, I call EB Customer Service, and get a tracking number.
Turns out the bass didn't even ship until this Tuesday, so I won't see it until next Monday. And, of course, I don't have any gigs scheduled for another 3 weeks, at least.
Oh, well. At least I know it's fretless, and unlined, and the colors of the neck and body match perfectly. Another couple of days won't kill me, but what a let down for the weekend gig.
At least my white pearl pickguard from Bovinehost showed up for my Black Sapphire Bongo. Not quite as good as a new bass, but I'll take what I can get.
