Wow, what a nice new toy Steve.. What's that now, 3 in the last 2 months.. Us newbies can't keep up with you..

Lookin at it reminds me of a nick piece of STICKLEY "quartersawn oak".. (Ooopps.. Wrong thread !) By the way.. why doesn't EBMM make guit.... ah, nevermind.

Ok, seeing this makes me wonder exactly how many KOA guitars "TOTAL" EBMM has EVER made.. This would be for ALL models.. You certainly don't see alot of photo's of them.. If i'm right, there was only 1 20th made in KOA?

Again, nice axe!

Excuse my last post which I deleted. I was the idiot who did not know how to open the BFR case. I figured it out and took out the beautiful KOA Axis SS. WOW. Plugged her in and compared to the regular axis ss. Tone was thicker, more articulate and AMAZING. Made the normal axis sound thin and bright. I am one happy dude! Here are the pics!

The weight...I did not notice any difference and I already returned the other ASS to GC. It may be a tiny bit heavier if anything. BUT, honest, the tone on this is amazing. Before when I had the normal ASS and I played with my son who is using a faded SG ($549 at GC, real GIbson USA made) his guitar always sounded bigger, beefier while my ASS sounded bright and a little thin in comparison, but still sweet. Now, my KOA Ass not only kills his SG for that big, full big sound but is much more detailed sounding. I can not believe just the wood, toneblock and neck can make this much of a difference in sound but it does. I can now imagine what a BFR JP6 sounds like.

I am 100% happy with this guitar and actually just paid it off today so it's officially ALL MINE! If no one snagged that last one, GET IT NOW! Last one of 6 made. It's worth it.
