Ok, I had a little tone shoot out between the Super sport and the Axis .....

I have an Axis sport with MM90's and an Axis with Dimarzio's. The tone of the AS is definitely superior to the Axis. Perhaps the tone is affected by the metal that the strings sit in as opposed to a Graph Tech nut. I like the sound of the Axis, though it has a very compressed tones.
