I changed my mind!

Just placed my 25% down payment for my new Big Al 5 single H rosewood, but instead of white pearl with black pickguard and non matching headstock, I went for:

Candy Red/white pearloid pickguard/matching headstock/rosewood

Hi guys, long time lurker here. I ordered a Classic Stingray 4 in Powder Blue with the non-birdseye (flame?) neck right after NAMM. They told me April/May ETA, which is great, since I need to get the cash together anyway. :D

It might sound a bit silly, but the clincher for me was the color. I have a bit of a collection of Sonic Blue instruments (but am a WORKING musician!), and was even on the lookout for a beat up Sterling or Stingray to have refinished in Sonic Blue, but thankfully Big Poppa and the boys answered my prayers!

This will be my first Stingray. I've had two Sterlings in the past, both Blue Dawn '04's. One of my students has an old Stingray and I love it. My main bass is and has always been a Rickenbacker 4003 that I had re-done to look like a 60's 4001 (checkered binding, crushed pearl inlays, etc). I play out quite frequently and am really looking forward to having a different flavor of bass.

Oh, and I'll be stringing it with flatwounds. :D
