It has killed my guitar GAS!

Usually NAMM comes along and I salivate like Hannibal Lecter over which guitars I'm dying to have. Not this year. My guitar GAS has been completely depleted and is now transforming into complete and total amp gas, but I digress.

I mean, what's going on?!?!? I only ever play my 20th and AL anymore (totally different tones, obviously). The PRS is in the case, the Axis is gone and the JP is on the block and I have no desire for another guitar (except the make believe ones in my head - which are all 20th Silos in different finishes - like a 20th 2008 LE :eek::eek: OR a beautiful Bahama Blueburst 20th Silo OR - well, you get the idea). Is there something wrong with me? Do I need help?

I just can't get over the tone on this thing - it's just.......perfect.

Anyone else have this "problem"? Just curious, thanks for your time.

I'm in the middle of a pantomime run at the moment. I usually use my SSS sport, plus my ASS with piezo.

I've found since I've had the 20th, that it's all I need for the show.

(I'm still not getting rid of any mind :D)

Norrin, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I almost wonder what the point is of looking at the other guitars because I know I found the one I really love playing.

WOW I never realized that before but it's true. I know when I go to the music store I can't find any thing I even WANT.
Let's just say the 20th is the closest thing to perfection so far.

I was looking forward to getting a used 20th someday, but maybe I'll wait for many years. GAS is fun!
Though I'm pretty sure EBMM will be pumping out more great stuff that we'll just want anyways.

My JP6 and JP7 have killed my urge for any other guitars and pushed my last beloved TCM out the door as I just wasn't feeling it anymore! I think the only thing I would possibly add to my stable is an EVH model if one happens to fall into my lap for an absolute deal of a price. I'm an EBMM lover for sure!

The 20th silo really is a unique axe. The pickups are the key for me. Even though its only got a 3 way switch, the quality of the pickups gives you plenty of great sounds, and if your'e smart and use the volume and tone knobs you can achieve even more tones. I think this particular guitar is the most unique EBMM have come out with, its a class above the others really. I never thought i'd ever buy a 2 humbucker/3 way axe again, i cant stand LP's etc. But this one is something else, kinda has a 335 thang goin on, but has a better clean sound. I really like the humbucker, it does so much, use it for Larry Carlton stuff, Robben Ford type tones with a touch of gain, classy Brett Garsed type soloing with a bit more gain but still fairly clean where you have to rely on touch, full on rock stuff it does easy, or it cleans up great for country spank. In short- it rocks. I'm really glad i got mine with a maple neck, its just right.

You're not alone Norrin... heheh... The only other guitar I really lusted for after the 20th was only the Ibanez AT300 (Andy Timmons) and that's only because of the amazing tone from that guitar. Other than that, zilch. zip. nada...

Just exactly like me mate..

Silo with AT300..

Just a great combination.. But I changed the pickup of my silo to Norton and Air Norton.. I really like my Silo tone, but I missed the old pickups.. I think I need to get another Silhouette 20th..
