I think there is some confusion about registering for the open house. I pm'ed Bamedei and she pm'ed me back to confirm. If this is the proper way to confirm a spot, maybe a seperate sticky post or announcement should be made with specific instructions on how to register for the open house so every one is on the same page.

I know first-hand what it takes to plan something involving many people so I really, really appreciate the effort and thought that's going into this event. How many do you need confirmed to keep it forum-only?

Is there a possibility of posting a list on a website of who's signed up so far? Like Daniel B. does on Steve's website when we fly in and meet pre-show at the venues that SMB/Dregs play? We Morselanders like to get together ahead of time and catch up/chat. (Sorry you missed the N. Cal. meet-ups earlier this year Keith--they were great fun!)

C'mon you guys - ante up! This is a first ever and I, for one, wouldn't miss it.

Keep in mind also that this is a holiday weekend, and some of our good forum folk may be out of town...exhibit A: NorM, who's out in the backwoods of Tennessee, hunting bear, or squirrels, or anything that moves.

Back on topic: I anticipate the enrollment number to skyrocket after everyone gets back online, to work, and back into the routine, etc.

Let's do our best to keep the dealers and the likes out of this, huh? (Pete and Bassplyr obviously the exceptions...they just have higher entry fees. )

It definately sounds like a very cool event. I would like to have made it, but it's either put out money for a trip, or for a new Pet. Sorry guys, gotta keep the eye on the prize!

However, I wish you all a great time!

I thought about that (getting a new Music Man with the money instead of going to the open house), especially since I'm paying for two people, but in the end I decided to go. I can always save up for another guitar, but the 1st Music Man open house is the place to be.

Getting a chance to hang with the folks who make these guitars is going to be great. Also, the chance of Big Poppa and NorM being in the same room should prove interesting! (just kidding, NorM!)

I'm still waiting for Raz to find a way to make it!

I'd love to go, however travelling from Eastern Canada, to the Western US is really only feasible by air, which is quite expensive. If only I were closer... I should've moved to BC when I had the chance... Believe me, if money weren't an object, I'd be there for sure.

If Raz manages to figure out how to ship himself in a box, perhaps I'll follow his lead.

Ouch! My apologies Blair! I do know a guy named Blair, and I apparently jumped to the wrong conclusion. I'm SOOO sorry!

I guess it will be easier to get all this straight once we all get out there. I'll be the fat bald guy drooling over all the guitars!
