A Trans White finish normally relates to a person named Mary Kaye.

But Ernie Ball has no finish officially called "Mary Kaye". Just a loose term

Vintage sunburst is one of my favorite finishes. The pictures in that ebay ad don't do that finish justice. Jack has a nice picture of a VBSR5 that does the finish justice. Perhaps he will post it. Jack?

I like that vintage sunburst, but my favorite finish by far is EBMM's honeyburst. Yum!!

BTW Bill, that clear guard on you 'Ray may be original. The early EB basses came with both black and clear pickguards.
