Back in the early 90's I was working for Digidesign as the northeast regional product specialist. At trade shows, I would demo Protools for music and post. For the music demos, I'd track some electric guitar live in the booth. This is from NAMM in 92 I think.
Back then my main guitar (of 2) was an EBMM trans purple VH. It had an amazing top that unfortunately does not show up in this photo. Stupidly I traded it for a canoe paddle with strings and set out on a 14 year trip around the boutique and big guitar makers only to find myself last year with an hour to kill about 5 minutes away from an EBMM dealer on Long Island. I was hooked in about 30 seconds.
Well, since that day I sold the canoe paddle (I never played it) 2 CS strats, a Gretsch and 3 Andersons and bought 2 Balls. I really only have 4 electrics now which is amazing considering the fact that for the last 14 years I've had a lot more lying around. And the 2 that are not Balls are looking pretty nervous, but they're safe for now.
I found this old pic today while cleaning up the studio. It looks just like me with a lot more hair but the guitar is a classic... I wish I had it back.
