I've heard that if you leave the instrument cable plugged in to your bass for an extended time (e.g., from an afternoon rehearsal/sound check to an evening performance, or evern overnight) the battery can drain. Is that true or is that just one of those "old wives tales" that has no scientific basis?

True...The jack is like an on and off switch that is on when the cord is plugged into the jack. If you are not playing, unplug!:cool:
