Older stingray?

This stingray is for sale online and the control plate looks wrong and there is something between the bridge and pickguard. I'm trying to get some better pics.

That's an odd one. The headstock logo and truss rod adjustment at the headstock indicate 1985-1987. not sure what's going on between the bridge and the scratch plate.

more pictures are definitely needed. From that era the serial number should be on the bridge plate.

The logo is actually a little later - 1987ish to 1990, with the bullet truss. The control plate looks odd.

Definitely try to get some pics of what's under the pickguard, control plate, as well as the bridge!

Also of the back of the headstock, neck, body.

Interesting- I've never seen a Stingray control plate fashioned out of 3-ply pickguard material before.

It's at a music go round for $999 but I can't get them to send more pics so I gave up.

They have more than just the two pics. it's got the decal. it's got the logo on the neck plate. It looks legit, but looks modded.
