I recently fitted a Bartolini MMC to a 4-string OLP for the son of a friend. What a transformation to the sound. It gives it that Stingray growl. Well worth it.

I am currently stuck between two basses. An OLP just to start out with and then hopefully get a BONGO. (Please God) Anyways I need your help/opinion on these two.

Take a look...I need your help now more than ever.

You really need to decide first whether you want a guitar or a bass. IMHO, you're best off sticking to one.

What I'd do if I were you, rather than going for any of the OLP guitars you've asked about on the guitar forum and an OLP bass is get either an OLP guitar or bass and some lessons or (if you've already budgeted for lessons) go that extra distance and get an EB SUB guitar or bass.
