Anybody know anything about these things. I know they're ernie ball licenced. Maybe its just cause i love tony levin's playing. But for the prices they're ofering these things. I would love to have one.... I think.
I have one. Nice bass. Fret wires stick out of the sides of the neck and I need to fix that. That makes it a little uncomfortable to play when your left hand slides up and down the neck. I use it as a back-up bass. Other than that, it plays and sounds pretty good. Not an EBMM, but not bad either.
I have one as well and have posted some extensive reviews (or opinions) here; do a search and you'll find those. Overall, I really enjoy playing the OLP though it's very heavy. My frets are set very well, though ideally, it needs a fret job to clean up some buzzing. It's got a lot of character which is why I like it. Very nice for the money.
I so wish EB would do a limited run of a *real* EB SR5 Tony Levin signature model. Sure, it would just be a paint job and a signature on the headstock, but Tony rocks!
Just recieved my monthly copy of guitar worlds Bass Guitar magazine . On page
86/87 they have a review of the Tony Levin signature 5 string and the MM3
You may find it interesting . Not a very indepth review but they seem to like the basses
