hey guys this is my second post and i'm trying not to re-ask any questions...but what does anybody think about the olp stingray basses? thats what i'm playing now (while i wait for my l.e. bongo hs 5 :D ) and i have no problem with it but it seems like its pretty much the same thing as a sub...except its made in korea or something and costs about $250 less

ahh the olp

maybe it has to do with the fact that it is made in korea and costs 250 dollars

i think you pay for what you get when it comes to music man and the olp is just a poor substitute

good thing your gettin a bongo
i have played the olp and the sub, once you play you will notice a difference. it also has to do with quality control

eash mm bass is hand crafted i cant say the same about the olp

sub

i actually did play a sub at guitar center after looking at it alot but i didnt like the squared off body...but you're absolutely right it does have a much more solid feel to it although i've had my olp for 2 years now and i only just started to have it fall apart on me so i feel like i really cant complain...i'm definetly gonna keep it as my backup bass

OLP's are excellent for a first or a back up guitar. They are not made or priced to be a professional piece, just like the Fender Squire line.

I can agree with that however I would rank the OLP Very High Above the Squire line.
