Never played one, but for about $350 you could get an ax40 from sterling which is a great guitar with a real locking trem and better looks.i have the ax40 and they are very close to the real axis with some modification.

Hi Kev My mate has the OlP axis and after a little bit of set up and fret fettling it played and sounded really good.
It's the same as a lot of guitars - his one in the batch was a real good one. Unfortunately thats not always the case. Now in this country, I'd personally not want to spend more than £70 on one.

Some are great, some are crap. That's the issue with OLP. Inconsistant. Go try it out. The price is pretty high. When they were at the end of their run, Musician's Friend was selling them for $159 brand new. There's one in my local Craigslist for $100. That's about the going rate for an MM1.

Well I maybe to get one for 100 bucks. Just thinking of turning into a project...I have never really delved into modding a guitar...If I don't get it Oh well...

Thanks,
Kevin
