You'll never guess what showed up in the Glen Burnie MD GC? A wine red 30th anniversary SR. All I can say is OMG!! Flamey maple back of the finished neck, strings through body, incredible color...And sounds like an absolute dream. If I wouldn't have bought that Envy Green 2 band, which will be here Tuesday, well, let's just say that I wouldn't have been able to resist.

Found one today in the GC in Arlington, TX too, so it looks like all the issues are resolved, and they are rolling out! Whoohoo!

Played one today as well. Very nicely put together as expected. I could be imagining things, but it just seemed very alive. Nice sound, seemed to have a bit wider range of tones. All in all, pretty cool.

I played one today at the Atlanta GC. Very, very nice....

If I didn't have a Bongo 5H on the way, I'd probably pick up one of these with an unlined fretless board.

The one I played was on the heavy side (I'd guess around 12-13 lbs), but the tone....Oh, man.....the tone.....

The back of the neck was stunning under that gorgeous finish, too! All sorts of figure to be drooled over. :D

What can I say? Another Musicman homerun.....

Damn. Looks like I'll be heading to GC tomorrow to check it out. I've already ordered mine, but seeing one up close and personal will help pass the time 'till it gets here. Or maybe it'll make it worse... but that's a chance I have to take.

I hope mine's not quite THAT heavy. Can anybody from EB give a sense of the weight range on these now that they're shipping out?

This is good news, indeed....ours can't be far behind!

According to the latest build list I got in from Dan VBTC will get 5 shipped out 6/9 and 5 more on 6/16...those were estimates but I would hope the fist 5 will come out this week.

Man,

The one on Elderly's doesn't do the finish justice...must be lighting but looks too red to my eyes. How's they look in person? More of a "cherry" than "red" no?

Granted, the GC I was in wasn't the best lit, but I felt that the color was a lot deeper and redder than the pictures that I have seen posted here. Still really nice, but not the same. Could be the lighting though - it was pretty dim in the store.

I went into my GC today to play the 30th, and it was gone. They sold it the first day they had it (to someone in from Sweden).

Of course the GC in Seattle doesn't have crap as far as basses. I spent about 3.5 minutes in there looking for the 30th. Thank God for the internet!

Don't feel bad. I went to GC in Pittsburgh today and they had a 30th Ray, along with a few other SR's, one Sterling, one Bongo and one SUB bass.

I asked if they had any MusicMan guitars and they told me they only have their basses, and the OLP guitar lookalikes.. no MM guitars.

Then I asked for Ernie Ball guitar polish, and they were out of it.

Then I asked if they had the Mark Tremonti wah pedal from Morley, and they didn't (because it's apparently been discontinued?).

Then I went home empty-handed. :(

I went to the Arlington GC yesterday and there were no 30th Anniv Rays to be seen. Then I tried to visit the Fairfax GC but missed a turn and never found it. D'oh!

Nothing here.

Went into my local shop (Pop's Music - Prescott, AZ) today to see if they had any.

And then......................DEPRESSION set in! :(

Nothing. Only one EBMM in the house. A used SUB guitar. :(

I suppose GC got them all. And I am NOT driving to Phoenix! :D

Oh well, the wait continues.....

I'll have a crapload of them in soon enough Ritchie and when I do I'll be happy to drive one up to you.

Thanks! Unfortunately, it wouldn't do me any good. I would just have to sell it before September. :(
