so I go to a strore they have listed on the main page? how long does it usually take??

now when the bass comes in does that store open it and do any adjustments,, I don't mind adjustments but I'm not sure if I want some tech at a store messing with it unless I know he knows how I like my basses set-up.

just curious whats the best way to order something brandnew?

Nope just order, then they will call you when its in, go to store they open it in your presence, plug it in for a test and then go home with a smile on your face and rock out:D

I think it depends on the store, but you could always ask when you order. I don't see why any store would have a problem handling it in whatever manner you request.

+1 on the recommendation for DuBaldo Music.

Well,

I personally check each instrument and case for any shipping damage when they arrive, but other than that I leave them alone unless the customer asks me to change something. The factory setup is great, and I see no reason to mess with it just so I can say "this instrument was set up at our store by a trained professional" - the real professional setup is done at the factory on the day the instrument is built.

But that's just me!

sounds good and trust me I'm not insulting any of you techs out there I was just wondering how it usually worked with a MM bass and ifd there might be some "fine tuning" after shipment.

thanks gents and now i'm off to check out that DuBaldo link!

Hey, with EBMM you can be sure that there will never be any need for "fine tuning" after shipment. Best in the business, including any and all custom builders!
