On ordering my Axis through my dealer...

My dealer could not answer this:


I like the quilt top trans blue-no I love it. It reminds me of a tropical lagoon in the South Pacific.

I also love a flame top when it is in trans orange.

When I order through my dealer he said there is no way of asking for the type of top. "You get what they give you," he said.
"You only pick the colour"

Is there a way where I can pick the top with a colour ?

ie: FT TO (flame top Trans orange)
or: QT TB (quilt top trans blue)

that is the one draw back about ordering, then again it may exceed my expectations

I was told the same thing. There is an upgrade option on the top, I think it's $500, where you can choose what type of top it is and it's the most highly figured wood.

I chose not to go that route. I wanted the quilted maple and got flame, however, it looks great. For me as long as the maple is highly figured, I'm OK with it.

The upcharge for a figured top insures you will get what some call a "10" top. You can get either a flame or quilt top.
