I guess a little clarification is in order, technically it’s not ordered. Since I will be over in the UK when EBMM starts accepting orders, Perry at Bass-Central agreed to write up the invoice and will order it for me the first day of the NAMM show. A deposit is in and this is the closest I’ve been in my quest for a lefty Bongo!

My “first” lefty Bongo is going to be this:

ButterCream 4 string, H/H with a tort pickguard. The only disappointment is the limited edition case isn’t available for us lefty’s

Anyway, I haven’t been this excited since… since, well I guess since I ordered my beloved natural EBMM SR5.

And as far as the wait goes I look at it this way, waiting for it to arrive is nothing compared to waiting for it to even be offered!

Psycho, imagine :
- the CNC engine used to cut the lefty bongo bodies explodes ;
- there's social conflict in the factory producing the buttercream paint and workers are striking for an unprevious during ;
- all the basswood stock suddenly gets attacked by gigantic hungry termits :eek:

...ok, ok I stop. I'm really happy you can get a lefty bongo after expecting it for such a long time ! Congrats.

Still 3-4 mounth before deliverey but they'll be short.

I would be the wrong person to ask, as I’ve never had the pleasure to actually play one. (Being left handed limits the availability to have access to many things…) But I will say this; if it’s an EBMM it will be a high quality instrument. I currently own 11 basses, several costing way more than my SR5 and NONE of them compare. That’s why I’m buying a Bongo sight unseen and have no worries that I’ll love it!

The Sterling has a large following and many diehard fans, do a search or start another thread, I’m sure several happy owners will be happy to tell you all about them.

Thanks Dees and the rest of you for your good natured support. I know I’ve been a broke record (remember those) in my campaign for a lefty Bongo. Most of it was sort of a running joke, that got old and I’m sorry for that. But I really want to be a Bongo owner and now that is going to happen… YES!!!

Thanks most of all to Big Poppa and all the EBMM folks, I understand that the lefty market is a very small profit center and is probably more of a goodwill gesture than anything else. But I for one highly appreciate the effort and offer my heart felt THANKS!
