Dang, man, now THAT is an amplifier.

I don't long for many things, but that could make me a bit envious.

Congrats!

Im telling you Jacko. I bleeb youd dig this amp.

I always wondered why the SVT Classic was all over the place, and felt it was "cliche". Now I see exactly why.

Oh, I would. I know I would. I've had Ampegs in the past and am still dedicated to their cabs. The Sunn 1200s is a lot like the SVT in terms of grit and grind. If it ever goes south on me, I see another SVT in my future.

That's an interesting observation, Jack.

I was in the studio tonight, playing along with my James Brown '20 Best' cd, and thought how much warmer my GK 700RB sounded through my SVT-15EN than it did through my Backline cabs.

I can see myself acing my GK 115 cabs, picking up another Ampeg 115, and running my future 1001RB-II through them.

I have a 4-10 and a 1-15, both Ampegs, and when I'm gigging, I generally just bring the 4-10 because I'm lazy and it sounds damned good anyway.

At home, I run both cabs and I couldn't be happier. Maybe Saturday night at the Lone Star Road House, I'll get motivated and load both cabs up for the gig.

The only other cab I had that sounded this good was the Audiophile 2-12, now happily owned and used frequently by Rockin' Ray Duke. That sumbitch was HEAVY, though.

The cab, not Ray.

You guys are a trip.

I love GK stuff, and was glad to have a relationship with them while I did. The guys that I dealt with (Dan and Gene) are top notch.

However, as much as I like GK, and as good as their product line is, Ive just found something that works better for me. I was looking forward to the Fusion 550, and even had plans to buy one, but now I dont bleeb Ill be getting one.

I am love with this SVT, and never thought Id be an Ampeg man.
Hey,I wouldn't mind having one of those around myself....There's one at my rehearsal space(from our drummers other band)that I can play anytime I want though. One question Trav, have you tried a Mesa 400+ yet?

Randy. I have tried a Mesa 400+. Almost got one a long time ago. Great sounding amp, but I like the Classic better.

Pat you hit the nail on the head. If I can get up enough cash, Id love to try either of those cabs.
