I bleeb someone is trying to scam me. I got an email saying the original winner didn't get the guitar, and I can now buy it for the price of my highest bid...A lot less than what was to be the winning bid.

I FWd'd it to spoof@ebay

I would go for it but there would have to be some stipulations. The guitar is in San Francisco so I would ask Phatduck if he would pick it up for me and ship it. I will buy it for the price of your high bid that way.

If it is a scam the seller will back down pretty quickly and it only costs you an email.

I'll send a PM to Phatty and draw this to his attention.

You did the right thing. I'm sure some are legit but most are scams.
