Wow Rob, congrats. You deserved it with all you have gone through. I pray for your son. Keep holding on. But just play this wonderful Al. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to make the convention :/ . Wish I could have signed it.

And to all of you at Ernie Ball, I'm proud of you. Ya knuckleheads.

Wow... amazing things continue to happen here.

That guitar has major mojo.

Rob, I hope it brings you some small bit of comfort in a time of darkness.

BP, I'm amazed.. not at your kindness, because we've all been witness to (and beneficiaries of) that on many occasions.. but at your willingness to get personal. You rock.

@BP

I am new to this forum, and I'd just like to say something to you.

You have to be one of the most selfless people on this earth. I can't imagine any other company doing something like this, and I can't imagine many other people who would do something like this for someone else. You are really a great guy, and you really know how to make the world just a little bit of a brighter place, in spite of sickness. I don't even know what is going on being new, and I don't want to know: but I want to just say thank you for being such a wonderful person to the world.

and to Robelinda: My thoughts and prayers are with you.

It's hard not to keep coming back to this thread each time I visit the EB forum...some things really hit you hard in different ways...Rob's deep and intense love and worries about his little boy are heart breaking but at the same time you love and respect his incredible strength and courage and absolutely beautiful spirit. Then you have the awesome power of this online forum family and of it's generous and sincerely caring leader who came up with this incredibly sweet and thoughtful idea to let Rob know he is not alone in this tough time. When there seems to be so much bad and negativity going on all the time it is really a wonderful and uplifting feeling to be part of this family and to know Big Poppa and his Ernie Ball family. What matters most and what is really important in this life comes thru here on this forum over and over again.

Rob...lots of love, good thoughts, good vibes, and prayers are always headed your way bro from all of us here. Those of us who didn't get to sign the axe in person have signed it in our hearts man. You be strong for your wife and son and realize how much this family loves you guys.

Rob you mention the reality that without the illness no guitar... Really without your support of this company and its products there would be no guitar.Do you know how many times I have questioned myself that it took my son to get terminally ill before I dedicated myself to helping others? The bottom line is that with every event there are resultant byproducts and you have to savor the good ones and not let the negative cloud the opportunities for happiness.

If I could give my other kidney I would tommorow...If I could make a thousand guitars to save one kid I would..You know in these instances you have a doom amd gloom worst possible voice on one shoulder and on the other shoulder the hope, faith and the were gonna get through this voice......The latter guy is playing the guitar...anything to get you to focus on the the good voice!

I failed to mention that another consideration in posting this is that others that werent able attend the bash to express their good wishes would not get the opportunity if this stayed annonymus

Sorry for the rambling post but it is hard to articulate.

You articulate very well BP.

I couldn't have agreed more.

Mr Ball, the world would be a much better place if more people were willing to give a little more of themselves, and to express themselves, even half as much and as well as you do. We are all proud to associate ourselves with you, and your company, through our membership on this Forum, our choice to play your instruments, and we are all thankful for the ability to feel part of your family. And, by extension, part of Rob's family.

There's strength in numbers, and I hope I speak for at least a few others when I say that we will all provide as much support as we can in this situation. You don't even have to ask, Rob, it's here for you when you feel you need it.

This is one of the most decent things I've ever seen on an internet forum. I am both saddened and encouraged by this. You will get through it. Prayers.
