One Piece Bodies?

After 8 years of ownership, I only recently realized my SR4
honeyburst body was two pieces (I always thought it was
one piece . . . it was mated rather nicely & appeared so).

I hear there are some nice 1 piece bodies out there but
I'd like to know if this is typical or atypical for MM basses?

Are you trans/clear finish guys slinging a one piece body
or a multi-piece bass?

Not too many one piece bodies out there, at least in my experience.

1994 Trans White is one piece.

1979 Natural is 2 piece.

1989 Natural is 3 piece but matched very well. You can only pick it by looking side on at the tail.

One piece bodies still happen when there is a good piece of wood. I just saw a Trans Red Sterling today that was one piece. Hell, my Moms Sterling is a one piece! When that happens, it would be used for a trans color. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

I'll have to be carefull how I word this because Jack's sitting on the side...waiting

Lift up the body and look at the....

YIKES (heeeheeee)....I'll try again.

At the end of the body....where the button is....look at it side on and check the grain.
