Ya know...for a guy that has a deal with Cort, there sure is a lot of Axis content in this promo. I know he's been posted here before - apparently he always uses his Axis for the One Silent Night show. At any rate, 'Night At The Palace' is in my regular holiday music rotation now...

I've liked Neils playing for long time.

Video was 2002 I think was prob before Cort deal.

Check this one out, looks like an AL in background...

Mike,
I'm a big fan of Neil and all of his CD's are in constant rotation, but the Holiday CD's are getting the most love lately...

Anyhow, I believe the cover of "Night at the Palace" shows him with his red EVH which on his website he describes as:

"This is without a doubt the axe I could never live without. This guitar has been with me for years since I bought it in Scotland when I was on tour over there. It has been on every project, tour, or recording I have done. It has the most amazing sound, feel, neck and slips into sweet harmonic registers naturally without high volume. One of the lightest weight guitars as well. Just about every guitar solo I have done on CD that needed humbucking pickups in the studio has been this one. The holy grail of axes for me."

He speaks very highly of EBMM, it's a shame he has a deal with Cort though... Great chops.

Well from what I gather he spends a lot of his time and his success in Asia so it makes sense for Cort to pick him out. Its a lot easier for him to get stuff shipped from Cort than EBMM in that corner of the world. Although I don't really care for his Cort guitar, just don't like it! Not being biased but he just does not sound as good using that as he does an Axis. Also a lot of time I think he piles on far too much gain!

Cool story that he bought it in Scotland, wish there was more information!

Cool - thanks for the info Fred!

I really like him too. I was hooked when I heard 'I'm Alright' for the first time last year (yes, I know, where have I been?). I immediately ordered one of his package deals and got 3 or 4 CDs at once. It just seems like he would SO fit in with the EBMM endorser/knucklehead crowd - and our bashes.
