one year ago we discover that our fellow knucklehead MBGreene lost his battle against his desease. This news left most of us in a state of shock. Some of us changed their Avatar to green in memory of this true gentleman and as off today I just can't change it back to normal

Today, I just want to send special thoughts and prayer to his wife and kids and open a new thread to his memory.

We miss you buddy

Absolutely 3MB I was only thinking the same as I was looking back through some old threads and saw the words of our "CIC".

I'm sure Fred will pass on our thoughts to Mrs Greene

I will...

I was out the other night and feeling pretty bummed because I was thinking about Michael and the anniversary of his passing. I ran into a store to pick up a quick gift and ran into his sister waiting to leave... Now we do work together but I've been off all week and it was really nice to run into her feeling the way I was...

I've been playing his AL exclusively all week in his honor... It's pretty much front and center in my collection. And as far as the avatar, it's permanently green.

I was just thinking about him last week. Still very sad that he had to leave this planet way too early. I'll never forget how great he was about the ALOC - a total class guy. We miss you Greene!

Hee hee - I remember telling him that he ought to be the CIC of the ALOC and he was game for it.

Always made some great comments on here. His decoder ring and secret handshake retorts always made me smile.

I was very proud when he used my photoshopped ALOC ring as his avatar.

I wasn't yet posting here when Michael Greene passed. I had however been following the forum religiously for several years and it gave me a wonderful insight into how special this community is. I recall all the funny stuff like the decoder ring, commander in charge, secret handshake and so on. It made me smile a lot.

I remember the call to turn avatars "Greene" in Michael's honor. I remember his Wife posting here the sad news about his passing and when his guitar going up for sale. I shared this story with my wife and felt silly because I was literally in tears over someone I had never met.

While I didn't know him, Michael Greene has had an impact on me and I'm proud to be a member of the ALOC!
