If you could only see one concert which would it be? Anytime, and place, and band. Which one?

I'd probably pick Woodstock, but only if I had a nice little RV with plumbing and a fridge. :)

ANY SHOW!

Thats Easy....SUBLIME!(at top Form)
This is truely a revalutionary Band, from there unique blend of Regae,Rock, and Ska(and as much as I hate to say it Rap)to gaining their amazing "cult-like" following the only other band that comes close is the Bad Brains.
What is even more amazing is that this Band has become as huge as they are when they don't even exist anymore. Name one other Band that has made the Rise to the Top with no lead singer(or Band) to promote their first and only Major Label ALbum!
SUBLIME...."Lovin' It's What I Got, I said remember that" :p

I'd probably see Sublime as well, but running close second is Jesus Wore Dickies. Just because of the completely unique sounds that both of them have, and that they're not around anymore.

Nice Call Jim!

Im gonna go with Rage Against the Machine In England at Wembley Stadium in 1995. If you haven't checked out their first DVD, it is most all their live stuff from this show. Also, here's a cute little bonus, Tool, and Metallica closed the show.

Went to a concert once (in the 80's) - headliner was The Cult. I was pretty stoked. Noone had ever heard of the opening band before - the lead singer acted like an ass , and the guitar player looked pretty spaced out. Everyone - and I mean everyone was booing them. A few months later - their album started getting alot of airplay. The album was called "Appetite For Destruction"

I got it!!!

Milly Vanilly (or however you spell it)
the show where the CD skipped. Just to see look on all the die hard fans that supported these guys.

Re: I got it!!!

My "one show" choice? Probably Hendrix or SRV for those among the missing. For those still present and gigging, I've seen most of my favorite artists a few times already...maybe an altcountry fest featuring Buddy & Julie Miller, Kasey Chambers, Robbie Fulks and Chuck Prophet.

Funny how Milli Vanilli (or however you spell it) was bashed for lip syncing back in thier day, but NOW we have boy/girl bands doing that during their dance routines and Autotune when they try to sing. At least Mili Vanili knew they couldn't sing!

Estin,

Hey, man, no apology needed! Be true to yourself and your music and don't apologize for what makes you rock. The flip side of that coin is to be cool and not put down someone else's musical preference (but I sense that you're down with that already). Its all good.

I am going to say Genesis performing The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Sadly, there is very little footage of the entire tour. I did see a Genesis cover act performing this and it was absolutely phenominal. The slide show/costumes and music were out of this world. So, choice 1 would be seeing Genesis in 1975.

Choice 2 will be this next Peter Gabriel tour. I have great respect for the man as a visual and audial performer. I really need to get to see him sometime in the next year and a half.

SRV at the Alpine Valley (last show)

Genesis playing Lamb (good call on that one)

Anything with Peter Gabriel and/or Tony Levin

Dixie Dreggs

Rush, about the time of Presto

I guess that really isn't one concert, but the SRV concert would be number one I guess....

Ok, my tickets for the new Peter Gabriel tour cost way too much money.. but how could I refuse.

2 tickets - $282 Canadian - 14th row on the floor.

I'd have to say Sublime too. To me, they represented everything that Long Beach, California was about musically. I'd actually want to see them play in the LBC because it's my hometown as well, and I'd love to see a hometown band play a hometown show.

Pink

Pink Floyd that is!

I have seen a lot of shows in my life, saw Stevie Ray before he made it big at a place called Mother Blues in Dallas, saw Zepplin in 76, but my biggest regret was passing on Pink Floyd tickets for the Animals tour.
If I had to do it over no way I would pass so bring back the Pink Floyd for a reunion tour.

P.S. Not Happening!

I agree.

Good to see a TV show like Rock Star INXS/Supernova playing some of the great Sublime tunes such as Santeria.

Worst of all was that Bradley died before they even hit the big time.

LBDA is no replacement for Sublime, but still a cool band with some of the Sublime guys.:)

What's also sad is that Sublime songs will never be played live again. Rightly so, seeing as though Brad is no longer here, and he was what made Sublime. It wouldn't feel right.
