The color is so-so to me. I've seen tons of flat black guitars before. The best part about the guitar is the black hardware. Put that hardware on an Orange Firemist or Sterling Silver JP6 and I'll buy it right now.

I really like the all black hardware, too. I didn't know that existed until I saw JP play a Stealth 7 string the other night.

The black hardware would look really nice on a koa or a natural woodgrain finish.

BP said in the NAMM thread I think that all Stealth instruments will have Ebony boards now.

SOmeone correct me if I'm wrong.

Also is stealth available via BFR?

I was never big on black guitars, but I love these stealths - I think it's the hardware! Now with ebony board - killer. My only dilema, the jp neck might be too skinny for me. But a stealth Bongo?! Hmmmmm...

wow that colour would be perfect on the JP7. no idea the neck was painted, can't wait to see one with a ebony fretboard.

I played one of these at guitar center last night, on the way home from Pete's. It was pretty cool, and the painted neck was actually cool. The soft satin finish as super fast and felt very close to a naked neck. I was very surprised, because I hate painted necks too.

I keep hearing that about the stealths and BFRs, that they are much nicer than other companies' painted necks.

Love the black hardware. If EB ever adds that as an option for the JP then i'll be getting a pearl white one with black hardware!!!!!!!

I think that is great looking. My JP6 is black, but that is blacker! (I have a thing for black guitars, I own several). I agree, though, an ebony neck would have made much more sense. It kinda looks weird with that fretboard.
