I'm up for making a fool out of myself. Check the set list from my band's website. There's 60 or so songs on there that I can muddle through.

Allrighty, I stuck my butt out on the guitar page. Let's get it on, folkses!

Oldtoe: "Hello. My name's Ben and I'm a bass player, and I try not to suck."

Group: "Hello, Ben."

Oldtoe: "These are some of the more well-known songs I have been known to play once or twice, but by no means necessarily represent my personal tastes; but we gotta start somewhere, right?"

Hard to Handle - The Black Crowes
Little Wing - Stevie Ray version
Pride and Joy - Stevie Ray Vaughan
Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
Brass in Pocket - The Pretenders (in case any wimmens is there to sing)
Another One Bites the Dust - Queen
December - Collective Soul
Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, New World Man, etc. - Rush
Day Tripper, Oh Darling - Beatles
Heartfull of Soul - Yardbirds
China Grove - Doobie Brothers
Radar Love - Golden Earring

The list goes on...

I wanna play with somebody! Step up, boyos!

I've always wanted to play "The Mayor of Simpleton" by XTC, though.

Just a hint here.

Okay, so the bass players are reaching across the aisle to the guitar players - good start...

My buddies & I do mostly "crowd pleasers" and that translates into rock/pop radio hits - mostly from back a few years. Like most of what I read here, I too try "not to suck" - the reality is that when I play, I'm looking for toes tapping and bottoms shaking... Not looking to impress anyone technically (mostly cause I can't! ;) )

So, for song selection, I'm good for:

I Saw Her Standing There
Wild Nights (ala John Mellencamp)
Brown Eyed Girl
Good Lovin'
Sweet Home Chicago (ala Blues Brothers)
Mustang Sally (however you please)
And anything else that follows the familiar 1-3-5... :)

Now, where's the "singers forum"??? ;)

The crowd pleasers are always good. Less opportunity for them to turn into a wank-fest and/or a pissing contest.
Boy do I have to pee!

Yo Bo!
