I agree with you on that.....but, like Christmas time, we like to speculate and have wishes....hehehehe...... ;)

Hey Guys!
I initially asked if you guys would like to come to the open house. Thanks for the enthusiasm.I am now reading posts wanting free airfare, free guitars, and design authority..If someone invites you to their house for the weekend do you plan the meals and activities, or allow them to be the host. Relax, we are going to spend a ton of money, time, and effort to treat you right.

Heres what we are doing now.

1. Trying to pin down a date in late August/early Sept. when the most artists will be available
2.When that date is identified we will work with the San Luis Visitors Association to get their help in putting together suitable hotel packages. San Luis is an active tourist destination so it will be a challenge. Based on initial response one hotel isnt going to cut it. I am trying to get a few hotels at different price points to accomodate as many budgets as possible.

3. If we determine that there are enough wives/girlfriends /signifigant others we will arrange for some shopping and wine tasting excursions for them.

4. Minors will be invited provide their parents sign a release or accompany them.

5. be patient....we are trying to make design and sell guitars and plan what could be an international open house...we are also in the middle of the 10,000 band Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, Emergenza, Warped Tour, NAMM indy, Miac Canada...new websites ...etc

6. we will be sending and email blast when the final details ore arranged.

thats all for now

My wife's not talking to me after Big Poppa first told us about this.
I guess if I go in there right now and give her an update she'll give me somethin' up my date.

A very worried Colin

If that is your real name...

I was trying to tell you guys, This is a gift to you all. Don't mess it up. Remember when you guys wanted a forum only guitar/bass? Sterling would have done that, but you guys couldn't decide what color/model etc. Don't screw this up. This could be a fun, yearly event if it goes well.

Sounds like it will be put together as nice as those guitars and basses. I am not worried. I think it will be a blast. If that time frame happens, I will be in Washington state and that will be an easy trip for me to make....

I would like to thank all involved for even attempting to make this happen! Thanks from Koogieland!

seminars and artist concerts all aside (which sound excellent - dont' get me wrong), I'd really like to tour the facility while it's in operation and see how it all comes together.

Wow! If it's early september I may be able to attend!! Yay! I'll have to work my fingers to the bone (yes, literally - I'm a computer programmer) in the summer to raise the cash, but it sounds like it will be worth it.

this is awesome

... and Jon's right. we gotta kik back and relax and wait for details. lets not put BP in a posistion where he thinks he's opened up some crazy can of worms. no matter what they plan we're definately gonna have fun. EB guitars/basses, meeting cool folks and all of this taking place in a chill town ... its gonna rule.

:)

No doubt about this. The company has always taken care of us.

Perhaps once a date is nailed down, some of us planning on attending can brainstorm a nice "thank you" as a way of showing our appreciation for the love we get from all the good peeps at THE BALL.

Something say, nicer than a bag of Norm's urine.

the "thank you" idea is being tossed about in the bass forum as well. I think its a great idea.

So, what's the current high vote getter? Interpretive Dance? Ritual Scarification of the EB logo?

OK, I'm just now reading this thread.

What a GREAT idea! This just shows again what a great company EB is.

I wish I could be there, but living in Atlanta and paying for college/summer camps for the kids won't allow me the funds to make it. If it becomes an annual event, I'll have to make sure to put it in my plans for next year.

Thanks to everyone at EB for all you do!

I'd pay the airfare to see the forumites doing some Interpretive Dance in thanks for the event. I'm sure that'd be a sight I'd soon not forget. ;)

Factor in lots of alcohol and just having seen where our dreams are made, you'll see some weird wild stuff...

When I read "weird wild stuff" I immediately envision Dana Carvey impersonating Johnny Carson.
