Yep yep,

believe it or not, but Belgium will have at least one representative during the open house. Indeed my fellow forumites, the flight has been booked. Going from Brussels to LA and from LA to SLO on Friday 16th of September :D ;) :D .

It is very expensive and will cost me a lot of money, but hey, I'm sure meeting all of you and having the opportunity to visit and see all this stuff at the EBMM plant, will be some great return on investment... :p. I'm really looking forward to meeting you all.

Furthermore, if anyone cares to pick me up, I'll be at the SLO airport at about 5 PM. Hope I get to the hotel in time for the bus to pick me up. Otherwise, I'll have to go straight to the winery if that's possible of course. Now I just have to arrange the hotel, but that's something for the weekend I guess.

Voila, I'm feeling all thrilled about this, gonna be good...

Cheers, Tom.

Tom,

Congrats on booking the flight! I look forward to meeting you, and I'm sure your money is well spent!

Did you fill out the online form for Blair? Even if you haven't booked your hotel (and the form DOES ask which hotel you're using), you can go back and modify the information on the form after you've confirmed everything.

How about a special thanks to Tom's wife....She has just had a baby and Tom gets to come to the Open House. How many foot rubs and chocolates did that cost you?

Gald you are coming.

Again,
If you Tom or anyone else needs a ride from either PHX, LAX or SLO airports just let me know. I'll be happy to pick you up and get you to the show. Either email me or send me a PM and let me know.

When I tell my friends that I am going to this event I find myself talking with such great pride. This is so cool. I hope I don't mess it up by like talking or anything. :D

Hm, I told the misses about this compliment of yours BP and she came close to a little blush, although she doesn't want to admit :p

Heck, it didn't even cost me nothing. She knows how hard I'm looking forward to this. We married on September 20th in 2003 and did our honeymoon on the west coast of the USA. Started out in San Francisco, went over to Yosemite and then to LA (stayed for a month in the USA driving from place to place, Las Vegas, San Diego Sea World, Grand Canyon, Zion, Capitol Reef, Arches, Salt Lake City and even, yep, Yellowstone, how's that for a trip :D ). Planning was to visit the EBMM factory at that time, but because of this mass of national parks and splendid nature we wanted to see, we decided not to pass by SLO (it's not directly on the way from Yosemite to LA and we already had a lot of miles to drive). I regretted it from that moment on, so this is an opportunity that I can't let go by without being there. Furthermore, the mix of awesome artist on stage on Saturday will surely be amazing. It took me almost three years to order my Steve Morse signature (I already had about 13 guitars at that time and wasn't sure if a 14th would be necessary, you know), but, you know the story, since I got that, I sold a lot of other guitars, already ordered the Y2D and bought a second Morse in the meantime. I just keep wishing that some stores over here would actively stock (different) Music Mans so everyone can see, feel, play and be struck by lightning with their quality. But it's the same story for PRS. Only F's and G's are everpresent...

I'm furthermore very much looking forward to it. I will be devastated (travelling from here to SLO and back in just three and a half days is not that good with all the jetlag stuff  ), but it will be worth it.

Ouch, the misses just read parts of the post and told me that I will be an diaper duty from now until the open house on  . Hehe, if that's all, I'm pretty much OK with it. Even more, she's just nagging me, so I'm a lucky guy.

Thanks guys,

cheers, Tom.

NorM,

thanks again for the offer. I'll certainly keep it in mind and it's really amazing that a lot of you make offers to people you don't know (well, other than from the things they post). There's more to this forum than just the guitars, I'm sure about that by now. I never really liked forums, but I keep coming back to this one day after day. BP's input, Jongitarz input, Derek's input, Beth, and all the forumites, it's just too good to be true. I'm not a guitar virtuoso, but a lot of forumites seem to be, so I really hope that there will be some timespace during the open house where we can listen to each other, play music to each other, and especially, learn each other some stuff.

It's such a cool initiative, thanks BP.

Keep 'em coming and keep up the splendid work.

EBMM rulez, Tom.

Phat, thanx. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make it at first. The 16th my golf league us having our outing and the 17th my company takes over an amusement part up here in the northeast for the day and it a blast. But I think in the long run I'll have the time of my life at SLO. :D

See yah there. Glenn |B)

Are there any nice campgrounds in the area (tent or small pop-up trailer)?

Man. I'm just now processing the amount of talent that will be there.

I mean, the famous guys.

I bet there are some real serious talents amongst the regular forumites, too.

In fact, having heard a few of the bassists over on the bass forum, I know it's true.

Once in a lifetime, amigos, to be sure.
